Introduction:
Old World is a 4X strategy game set in a historical context, where players are given control of an entire empire. You can rule through several generations, which requires planning political moves far in advance and even strengthening alliances through marriages. Different character traits can also be useful to varying degrees. The game features over three thousand unique events, a fresh "orders" mechanic, detailed resource requirements (for population growth, not only food is needed, etc.), and map exploration and warfare functions. For playing with friends, there is an online multiplayer mode in addition to standard single-player scenarios or modded modes.
